OK, , tell me how you got on at TIC TAC TOE. I won a lot more games than I lost. I won and lost about the same number of games. I lost a lot more games than I won. |
OK, , tell me how you got on at SUDOKU. It's easy - I can solve them in a few minutes. I sometimes do them but sometimes get confused. I don't really understand them - it's too hard for me. |
There are also some other games which will help you for the rest of the course. In these games you have to watch for, and react to,
your opponent's move. Click here to play JOIN THE DOTS. This will help you practice THINKING AHEAD and also develop your spatial awareness. Click here for a game of DRAUGHTS (CHECKERS). This will again help you think ahead and also help in developing the concept of strategy in board games. It's simpler to understand than chess, but also not at all easy to play well. If you found these games easy you're probably old enough to learn how to play chess well. If you found them hard, be warned that learning to play good chess - which is what you'll be doing if you proceed to the next part of the course, is a lot harder. Maybe you spend a few months practising before moving on. to return to the doctor. |
